RE: UTF-8 encoding question

I had a problem with encoding.

My files are in different languages. They are having accented, greek and all other characters as it appears on the source. My originals files are in RTF format. I want these files should be parsed against a SGML/XML DTD. Again I have to get the special characters as it appears on the source when i convert back. 

Can any body help in this regard?
 Any ideas or tools.
