Ruper and Version

Hello,
since Ruper is using some classes from version and Adam already stated 
that he would like to separate these two projects, I would like to 
create a kind of "commons" for these two projects. Basically this would 
mean to create a new sub-project beneath depot, which just hosts all 
common classes and resources for these two projects.

So, from my side a +1 for this :-)

There is a lot of stuff in version that ought be in some sort of tools or
commons, but wasn't 'cos I was trying to keep version to one jar 'cos of
jarhell debugging. I think I went to far, and if I want this I ought combine
jars at release time. Commons is a good idea.
