Thank you for filing this, [~harshit.gupta]. Could you specify the minimum requirement of Hadoop version?

Apache ORC still support Hadoop 2.2.0 technically. Apache ORC 1.8.0 will drop Hadoop 2.2~2.6 support soon while keeping Apache Hadoop 2.7.3+ support.
