architecture/scalability/continuous-process questions.

Are there papers where the structure/architecture of Nutch is explained?
And is
there documentation how Nutch can be used in a clustered environment and
how
scalibility was planned for Nutch?

And can Nutch be run as a continuous process? I have looked at the
tutorial
but I don`t understand how this can be achieved.

Met vriendelijke groet,
