Release Notes for 5.5

The release notes for version 5.5 still have the "JAVAC leaking memory"
stanza. In it, it states the the problem has been fixed in jdk 1.4.

The same document states that version 5.5 is designed to run on J2SE 5.0
and later but can be configured to run on J2SE 1.4.

Since version 5.5 isn't intended to run on anything lower than J2SE 1.4,
is it safe to say that memory leak issue is gone in 5.5 and that the
section in the release notes pertaining to it is stale and irrelevant?
