The Cassys Energy Manager is an energy management
platform for the B2B segment, which makes the energy
consumption transparent and helps in a simple way to
become more energy efficient.
Our customers are utilities (EnBW AG) or telcos (Deutsche
Telekom), which provide the platform to their business
customers (small & medium businesses, such as bakeries,
supermarkets, craft shops, hotels etc.).


For the further expansion at our location in Berlin,
we are looking for talented Software Developer
(m/w) full-time or part-time.

Your activities
In your role, you assist the IT department with
daily tasks, such as requirements analysis,
specification, software development, quality
assurance, including bug tracking and unit
tests.

As a developer you will have separate tasks in the front-end with Apache
Flex and - optional – in the middleware area with Java. 
Versioning is done with SVN and we use Eclipse & FlashBuilder. 
You will also work with various Java frameworks and can bring your knowledge
of MVC software architectures as well.

•	Design and creation of templates and standalone clients using Flex 4 and
AIR for User Interface Development 
•	Implementation of technical concepts by developing new or customizing
existing Flex components
•	Acceptance and testing (unit testing) of all quality aspects of software,
such as functionality, usability, security, compatibility, reliability, and
performance
•	Analysis and design of software functions in the various management
systems
 

Your profile

Technical knowledge:
•	A college degree (college or university) of computer science, business
informatics or a
•	similar qualification with appropriate content 
•	ideally you have already had some years of professional experience through
project work 
•	excellent knowledge of ActionScript 3 and in-depth experience with Apache
Flex 4 and the environment, for example GraniteDS (required) 
•	experience in charting, datagrids and developing own components in Flex
(required) knowledge and several years of experience with Java and its
performant connection to backends (required) 
•	relevant knowledge in object-oriented programming and MVC 
•	sound knowledge in J2EE environment (Spring, Hibernate, Maven) are
desirable

working
•	independent, self-responsible and communicative work
•	high level of teamwork, flexibility and resilience
