Assign wtkx to xml editor on eclipse

Sorry for this kind of off topic.

I'm trying to assing xml editor to wktx extensions but after configura
in file extensions association, when i try to open my wtkx file
eclipse show an error (which i have check to not show again winthout
read <pause_to_laughs> ..... </pause_to_laughs>) and do not enable
syntax highlight.

What i need to do to get my wtkx associated with xml editor ?

Windows>Preferences>Content Types>Text>XML Illformed. Add .wtkx and .bxml to
the list.

In about a week, I'll post a small app that lets you update the wtkx in
eclipse, then displays the results in a window. Its classpath aware so you
essentially get a wtkx viewer. Its not integrated directly into eclipse
though like eface's xaml editor.

Not that I know of. We use Eclipse to build the platform, and there are a couple of JIRA tickets that talk about creating an Eclipse plugin, but so far nothing for Netbeans. However, this is open source, so if you have an interest in something like this, you are more than welcome to try to tackle it. :-)

No problem - it is kind of a pain to set up file associations in Eclipse:

- Open Eclipse Preferences.
- Select General > Content Types from the tree navigation on the left.
- Select Text > XML from the "Content types" list on the right.
- Click "Add" and enter "*.wtkx" in the popup to create a new file association.
- Select General > Editors > File Assocations from the tree navigation on the left.
- Click "Add" and enter "*.wtkx" in the popup to add the "*.wtkx" assocation to the list.

I will add this to the FAQ.
