[jira] Commented: (PYLUCENE-6) ominous svnversion error message -- truly an error?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PYLUCENE-6?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12918407#action_12918407 ]

Bill Janssen commented on PYLUCENE-6:
-------------------------------------

I think that this is an artifact of the Lucene build.xml, because it's emitted during the compilation of the Lucene jar file. As to what the fix would look like -- one wouldn't see those messages.

> If you're compiling on a system without svn installed, you get these great error messages:
> [exec] Execute failed: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "svnversion": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified
> But they're not really errors. Be nice to suppress them.
