   Two questions:
   
   1. Is there a reason that Sum is the only kernel affected? Should we expect others (present and future) to need the same treatment?
   2. Just confirming, the base commit of this PR is before the one that breaks with zstd? Otherwise I'd expect the autobrew job to still fail, just differently.
