Can JMeter retreive a value for a parameter in a HTTP Request using an SQL Query?

Hi,

Before sending a particular HTTP request in a thread group, can JMeter
be configured to retreive a value for a parameter being passed with the
request, from Oracle using an SQL Query? If this can be done, is there
any way of differentiating between the time taken by the HTTP request,
and the time taken for running the query? Any thoughts you can give me
on this would be much appreciated.

...Mary

Hi

I have not exactly done it my self, but you could potentially use JDBC sampler, extract the output using a regex and use it on your next HTTP call.

JMeter will track all these calls separately, or you could use a transaction element to wrap a transaction around your HTTP call. Let me know if you have more questions
