Tapestry 4 page opens in Mozilla, Firefox but not in IE
I have converted my Tooltip component and the online
demo to Tapestry 4
(beta 8).
Strangely, when I open my tooltip online demo page
http://137.132.69.134/tapestry4Demo/app?page=TestTooltip&service=page
in IE 6, I get a pop up box with error :
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site :
http://137.132.69.134/tapestry4Demo/app?page=TestTooltip&service=page
Operation aborted.
But my online demo works in Mozilla and Firefox.
It would be appreciated if someone can explain why it
is the case.
My tooltip component is available for download at
Tassel
http://equalitylearning.org/Tassel/app

Googling for "internet explorer cannot open the Internet site operation
aborted" uncovers a few ways people have worked around this IE peculiarity
before. The usual work-around appears to be rearranging the javascript/html
interaction. For example:
