Summary: Jar task may not close all input streams?
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.7Alpha (nightly)
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: stevel@apache.org

Just a note that IDEA is complaining that
Jar.filesetManifest() opens some streams and does not appear to close them; I've
looked inside the methods it calls and this appears to be the case.

someone else should take a look, and if we agree that there is a potential
stream leakage, fix it.

Had a quick look, the method filesetManifest(File file, InputStream is)
is opening a reader on an inputstream. The reader is not closed,
however as the inputstream is is the one that has the file descriptor,
closing the reader should be a no op.

Closing the reader is not a no-op, it will close the stream, in case the stream
is still needed by the superclass this could be wrong. As Zip is the owner of
the stream, imo Zip should close the stream.
