        Key: MAVEN-1557
    Summary: Depency propagation
       Type: New Feature

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Major
 Resolution: DUPLICATE

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven

   Assignee:

Description:
There should be a way to have the dependencies of a dedendency automatically downloaded without the need of specifing them all in a projects POM.

Artifacts generated of certain types such as jars could simply include the dependency information in the archive. This can be used to facilitate the downloading of the artifacts dependencies and also provides a means for developers to view that information by looking in the archive as opposed to hoping that there is a site published somewhere that contains the information.
