Not this one: http://www.apache.org/licenses/software-grant.txt
And this link just says secretary@: http://www.apache.org/licenses/
Anyway, I'll send the request to Gann now!

Yes that is the document we need.
Have a look at this link:
http://www.apache.org/licenses/
There is says:
"CLAs may be submitted by traditional postal mail, fax, or by emailing a
scan of the signed copy to secretary@.
You can also fill out the pdf document or edit the text document, create
a detached gpg signature,
and send both the document and the detached signature via email to
secretary."
I believe the same goes for a SGA. Maybe he can send it via eMail to the
secretary address and
then put Grant and me in the cc.

Sure, I can ask Gann to do that. Just to be sure, he needs to fill out this:
http://www.apache.org/licenses/software-grant.txt
And then fax it to Apache? Can you tell me where?

I checked our mail archives, and there it says.
That people either need to sign this software grant or
the ICLA.
Unlike stated below, Eric Friedman chose to sign the CLA instead,
and I believe he is also listed (there is also a committer called Eric
Friedman, is that him?).
Gann chose to sign a SGA and got a confirmation from the ASF.

Most SourceForge committers are also committers here, they (should have)
all signed an ICLA, these are:
- Thilo Goetz
- Jörn Kottmann
- Jason Baldridge
- James Kosin
- William Silvia
The following people didn't maintain their commit rights:
- Gann Bierner
- Eric Friedman
- Joao Cavalcanti
Of these three people Gann Bierner and Eric Friedman should have signed
the software grant.

For this we would need to contact everyone again. What exactly would
they need to do?
Everyone signed already an ICLA or SGA, isn't that enough to sign these
items off?

I took care of everyone but the copyright one pending someone pointing me at the Software Grant, which I can't find at the moment.

How can this file be edited?
For example these items are done:
- "Check and make sure that the files that have been donated have been
updated to reflect the new ASF copyright."
- "Check and make sure that for all code included with the distribution
that is not under the Apache license,
we have the right to combine with Apache-licensed code and
redistribute."
- "Check and make sure that all source code distributed by the project
is covered by one or more of
the following approved licenses: Apache, BSD, Artistic, MIT/X,
MIT/W3C, MPL 1.1, or something
with essentially the same terms."
I believe this last copyright item, can also be signed off, after a
mentor checked that
all papers are on file. I can provide a list if necessary.
- "Check and make sure that the papers that transfer rights to the ASF
been received. It is only necessary
to transfer rights for the package, the core code, and any new code
produced by the project."

Who owns the copyright? I think it's pretty straightforward to fill out the rest of those missing items, just need whoever is the owner (Jason and the other original committers at the SourceForge project) to sign off.
