Brazilian-Portuguese translation contribution

Hello Ms Janne and Members,

I'm working with a team in a sw development effort here in Brazil. We
are using JSPWiki and due to stability requirements, we choose v2.6.3.

By now we finish a brazilian-portuguese translation and we would like to
contribute it to the community. In order to do so some issues need to be
seen..

* As said, the translation is based on v2.6.3 documents
* We created the CoreResources_ptBr.properties, default_ptBr.properties
and translations to the files in the /wikipages directory
* We did not translate the exception messages (but we intend to do that
in near future)
* We had to use mr Lutz patch (JSPWIKI-348) in order to obtain correct
spelling of some Brazilian characters.

I’m not sure about the proceedings to contribute or even the interested
on that matter, so now, I post this idea to the group appreciation and
wait for some direction.

Question: Is there any Brazilian member here?

Best regards
Condack

Yup, 2.8.

(And I'll probably never hear the end of this Ms. stuff... For
future reference, Janne is a male name in Finnish ;-)

Yup, this is the proper way to handle this.

Condack,

your efforts are very much appreciated, I think we should try to get this in
the JSPWiki base.
I guess best is to aim for 2.8 or later. (right Ms Janne ?)
Maybe you can also check your translation with the TranslationsCheck tool,
which is in the tests directory, this tool compares your translated
properties files with the English version and reports the missing and
redundant keys.
It would also be nice to provide the base wikipages based on 2.8 (there are
only minor differences to 2.6).

Can you file a JIRA issue (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSPWIKI)
and attach your files there (you can zip it in one file).
Then one of the committers can take it in.

BTW, are you also running JSPWiki in OC4J , and if so, do you have any plans
to migrate to WebLogic :-) ?

Feel free to come back here if you have any further questions.
regards,
Harry
