Intellij Issue in Imports

Hi,

According to the documentation, I have setup Beam project from scratch in
IntelliJ. Seems like some files have issues in imports and were not able to
build, eventually, I wasn't able to test it through IDE (Working On
Windows).

Is there any other configuration that I am missing?

Thank you.

Hi Zohaib,

What command are you using to build and run the project?
Does building from command line work?

Try checking for problems via "File -> Project Structure -> Problems".

Intellij setup notes can be found here:

Thanks Max,

I just reverted my IntelliJ version to 2019.1. I was able to solve this by
following the "Setup IntelliJ from Scratch" guide.

That looks like you have not correctly imported the project.

Make sure to select "Build and run using: Gradle" as well as "Run tests
using: Gradle". Here are the settings I use:

When importing, use "File -> New -> From Existing Sources", then select
"Gradle".

Cheers,
Max

Hello,

I got stuck in a similar situation. I tried the solution suggested by Max
but the situation is the same.
The project is compiling from the command line.
IntelliJ Version: 2019.3.4
OS: Linux

Thanks in advance.

Maybe worth to contribute this info to the Beam IntelliJ docs if you have
time to Zohaib.

Thank you Kirill and Maximilan for your reply. Solved the issue using
"./gradlew clean" and then refresh the Gradle.

I have this issue from time to time when pulling in the latest master. I've found that the only way to resolve this is to run "./gradlew clean", then refresh the Gradle project inside IntelliJ and run "compileTestJava" for the project which had the issues.

Cheers,
Max
