Builds cancelled because of TimeOut are not killed

Continum version: 1.1
OS - Linux- Debian

The problem is if a build exceeds the set time out, the process running the
build and the child processes it spurned are not killed. It becomes
annoying, in my case, when the build processes which should have been killed
holds locks on the database objects against which it was running causing the
subsequent builds to fail. Has anyone faced this problem? any solution?

On time outs, the build process and any child processes should have been
killed, I believe.
