Cocoon Error

I get the following error :

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: White space is required between the
version and the encoding declaration.


with all of my xml files even with those successfully converted to html.

Here is the starting point of those files :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<!DOCTYPE doc SYSTEM "domart.dtd">
<?xml-stylesheet href="domart.xsl" type="text/xsl"?>
<?cocoon-process type="xslt"?>


have an idea ?
