[jira] [Commented] (DRILL-1022) Provide option settings for controlling hash table size

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-1022?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14036959#comment-14036959 ]

Aman Sinha commented on DRILL-1022:
-----------------------------------

Uploaded patch with the following enhancements: 2 new option settings were added: 'exec.min_hash_table_size' and 'exec.max_hash_table_size'. These control the minimum and maximum hash table size - Note that these values are in terms of number of hash buckets, not in terms of memory size. The default value of min_hash_table_size is 2^16 and max_hash_table_size is 2^30 which is also the upper bound for both settings. For most practical purposes, only the minimum size needs to be modified if needed.
