[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-260) Zope Public License v2 compatibility with the Apache License.

Henri Yandell commented on LEGAL-260:

On:

"If changes are done, and the upstream projects accepts them, no issue."

That seems debatable to me. It's possible that it's "no issue" only if you then use the version from the upstream project. Given Apache License 2.0 has the same concept, this would be an interesting one for us to declare a position on.

> Hi,
> We are considering using code that is licensed under the Zope Public License.
> It seems similar to a BSD license but with a few more restrictions. I was wondering about compatibility with the Apache license.
> I have searched the LEGAL JIRA, but found no mention of Zope. I have also searched the legal-discuss@ archives, but without much success. It seems that zope python packages are used by a few projects, which makes me hopeful, but I would love to get a more definitive answer.
> Thank you so much for the work that you are doing.
> Best,
> Arthur
