Severing ties to ui package tree
Hello,
Should I start severing ties between the new renderkit and old ui classes
? I already moved most constants as presented in another issue. Now I
would like to extends that a bit further because I'm an anti-deprecated
code freak :P. Currently, i18n plugin generate the
org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.ui.laf.base.xhtml.LocaleList class,
should I change it to generate
org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.renderkit.core.xhtml.LocaleList
instead? The only referening class is
org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.renderkit.core.xhtml.jsLibs.LocaleInfoScriptlet

Sounds good enough to me, I'll move it.

Simon-
I am not sure if the "New components" is really important for a
"migration" page.
I'd like to see only a link and the discussion on a separate page.

I think the *most* interesting is here the API
(org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.**)

created a page [1]. This will grow. The neat thing about a wiki is
that users can add stuff, that we forgot during writing the document
;)

Re: [Proposal] Create an ADF Faces -> Trinidad guide on Wiki

what needs to be done:
JSP/Facelets:
-tag prefix (af => tr)
-tag namespace (oracle ... => myfaces...)
-renamed compnents (panelForm => panelFormLayout (for instance))
app config:
-config files renamed
-xml name spaces changed
-web.xml params renamed
on the java side:
-names of some classes have changed
-packages of all! classes have been changed.

Great idea,
I think the renaming/refactoring wiki contains only *basic* informations.
A migration path is welcome.

In general, yes - but at the moment, let's not make
any changes to the plugins, esp. if they'll require changes
on the trinidad side (what with the effort to get both
released).

[Proposal] Create an ADF Faces -> Trinidad guide on Wiki

Heya,
I think an ADF Faces to Trinidad conversion guide would be very useful for
many users. Also, starting it early while the changes made to Trinidad are
still fresh to our minds will make it easier to create. Furthermore, I
guess it will help when it's time to write Trinidad's release notes.
