[jira] [Created] (UIMA-5836) uv3 select don't throw exception for specifying strict with sameBeginEnd

Marshall Schor created UIMA-5836:
------------------------------------

Summary: uv3 select don't throw exception for specifying strict with sameBeginEnd
                 Key: UIMA-5836
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-5836
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Core Java Framework
    Affects Versions: 3.0.0SDK
            Reporter: Marshall Schor
            Assignee: Marshall Schor

The subiterator constructor currently throws an exception if strict is specified when the bounding conditions are other than "coveredBy".  This is overly harsh; allow strict for bounds use = same-begin-end, even though it's a no-op in that case.
