[jira] [Created] (OPENMEETINGS-139) Unable to Add User into Usergroups

Unable to Add User into Usergroups
----------------------------------

                 Key: OPENMEETINGS-139
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-139
             Project: Openmeetings
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: UI
Affects Versions: 2.0 Apache Incubator Release
Environment: Ubuntu 10.04 and Centos 5.4 with all required plugins (ffmpeg, imagemagick, sox. lame, swftools etc.)
            Reporter: neo
            Assignee: SebastianWagner
            Priority: Critical

Installation and configuration done, working fine witt admin user and even able to create user using "Not member Option" but when creating new user manually and trying to assign
a New or old group, its startflashing and stuck on screen, seems like something is wrong with java or database.

I haven't reinstalled Om for a long tie, so string labels in my DB seems to be outdated.

>> Login screen ...
I can say nothing regarding login screen options, maybe Sebastiasn can comment it

>> Issue is not resolved yet even i didin't understand what was the resolution in comment
The issue is fixed in SVN revision 1310663.
You need to manually rebuild OM using latest sources, or wait for nightly build

As stated here
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/openmeetings/trunk/singlewebapp/
The latest SVN revision is 1310674

I have fixed this issue about an hour ago.
So you have 2 options:
1) get sources from the svn and build it yourself
2) wait for 19 hours for the next build

Thanks for the reply Maxim

I tried with Centos 5.4 x64 and Ubuntu 10.04 x64. ( cannot use any other OS)

@ Maxim - I didn't get what you want to say in your comment...

I am experiencing exact this issue - "
Screen flashing: Search user dialog become invisible (has no background); Home page is displayed; User is not added" Issue, Anyone can please provide some solution...

maxim - there are no Organisations tab under Administrations - there is tab called Usergroups where we can assign a group to user.

one more issue-

Installing Openmeeting without MySQL DB, Login screen shows login option - "Username or mail , Password , color style , Quality , Domain."

Where Installing Openmeetings with MySQL DB show less Login options - "Username or mail, Password, Domain."

Anyone can please clarify why its happening and how to get those other Login options after Openmeetings with MySQL DB.

Thanks

Thanks for reply maxim...

Since three days i am installing latest stable version using source code only but getting same error...
If you want then i can give you even access of my Openmeetings... I've got 3 fresh installed Instances.
there is no SVN revision 1310663, the last update 5hr ago was 1310629.

Can you suggest which OS would be more stable for Openmeetings - CentOS 5.4 or Ubuntu 10.04 ( i've only two options)
Installing JDK instead of Individual JRE does matter in Openmeetings...
could you guys please make some installation guide with Ubuntu 10 & 11 and CentOS 5 & 6...

since three days i installed below updates

openmeetings-2.0.0.r1309184-03-04-2012_2309.tar.gz
openmeetings-2.0.0.r1309618-04-04-2012_2305.tar.gz

Latest version - openmeetings-2.0.0.r1309184-03-04-2012_2309.tar.gz 5hr and 30 minutes ago.

Please check again and help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks

Thanks for reply...

Thanks for fixing the issue.

I'll better wait for 19hr. :D

i asked you that can you suggest OS between Ubuntu 10.04 and CentOS 5.4
would be really nice if you can provide some script of starting service in background and enabling at startup (specially for CentOS).
I've found some installation guide under link - http://incubator.apache.org/openmeetings/installation.html
but none of them are working - please add some more information like recommended Operating system, Installation guides on different-2 Linux Distributions, Pr-requirements with specific or recommended or tested version (i.s ghostscript, imagmagick, freetype,JRE, sox, libjpeg etc.)

it takes too much time in opening login page, video conference video ratio is too small, if its possible then make is flesible to increase and reduce size.
Thanks alot for making such nice project alive again and i appriciate all of you guys effort.

Thanks
Neo
