Local sonar + rave question

I'm running sonar locally ("mvn clean install sonar:sonar") but I get a build failure unrelated to Rave's build: 

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.codehaus.mojo:openjpa-maven-plugin:1.2:enhance (enhancer) on project rave-portal: Execution enhancer of goal org.codehaus.mojo:openjpa-maven-plugin:1.2:enhance failed: org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceProductDerivation:java.lang.ClassCastException: org.apache.xerces.parsers.XIncludeAwareParserConfiguration cannot be cast to org.apache.xerces.xni.parser.XMLParserConfiguration -> [Help 1]


Looking through the output, I see

An error occurred while attempting to determine the version of "file:/Users/mpierce/rave/rave-portal/target/classes/META-INF/persistence.xml".


Any idea what the problem is?
