I tried general first but the project page didn't get published yet.

The instructions at
http://incubator.apache.org/howtoparticipate.html#Project+Website+Howto
say "the pmc" can publish. But I won't send mail to that list anymore per
your comment.

I know everyone is busy but I get these partial replies that make me think
I'm close and just not asking the right question of the right list. David
did publish the status page but not the project page. Leo did reply to my
query on the pmc list but only says what not to do, not what to do. So I'm
getting some responses but not the answer.

So I keep trying...

Heidi.

Working on that....

Ah, i see why you are confused. I just updated that page
to clarify that it is up to your project PPMC to maintain
your project website.

I am only publishing the stuff on the main Incubator
website, i.e. the project status reports, etc.

The stdcxx project website is the concern of your project.
You can choose whatever technology that you like
to generate and publish it with.

http://incubator.apache.org/howtoparticipate.html#Project+Website+Howto

Going back to the Project Status page, i do not know what
software you are using to edit the html source, but it
has mangled the html. Anyway i made one slight fix today
and it looks a lot better.

David

Heidi,

This week is ApacheCon, and I am happy to say that many of the Incubator's
members have been participating here. Including Leo and David, both of whom
replied to your earlier message.

> David did publish the status page but not the project page.

There is a difference between the Incubator's own site, and the project's.
The latter is online at http://incubator.apache.org/${PROJECT}, and would be
on the disk at /x1/incubator.apache.org/${PROJECT}, but does not go into the
same part of SVN as the Incubator's site, nor be published using the same
mechanism. Your mentor(s) should be able to help you out with the site
mechanics, but a preferred way (unless you are using maven) is to create the
project's directory (as above) and then maintain a checkout from source
control.

If you need more help, please let us know.
