   @nevi-me @yordan-pavlov so turns out this has become important to fix and merge for us too and we need to bring our branch up to date.  Let us know best way to go forward, but one of us is happy to start porting this change to a newer updated branch and let everyone have a look, and push a formal Arrow PR as well.
