This is likely to happen to others.

The certificate problem has been solved for the equivalent svn.[eu|us].apache hosts by creating svn-[eu|us].apache.org.

If the same were done for www.[eu|us].apache.org, the backup server names could be changed accordingly and the problem would be solved for everyone.
