Users mailing list...?

I was somehow under the impression that email from my apache.org
account would go straight to the users list without any kind of
moderation. Was I wrong or is there something wrong with the list ?

It does for me:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

     users@commons.apache.org

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the
server for the recipient domain commons.apache.org by
mx1.eu.apache.org. [192.87.106.230].

The error that the other server returned was:
550 mail to users@commons.apache.org not accepted here

Ah, you mean an "s" too much matters ??? Nice inconsistencies in
naming of asf users lists :)

Shouldn't users@commons.apache.org bounce then ?

GMail hides messages it thinks are duplicates, so it is very difficult
to know if the message was received by the mailing list except by
checking with the archives.

I don't see any in the moderation queue now. Do you get a bounce
message? Are you sending to user@commons.apache.org (no "s")?

Re: Users mailing list...?

There appears to be something fishy. I tried resubscribing with my
apache.org address, but got a message saying I was already subscribed
to users. Then I re-sent the message to users, but it's not getting
through. I am getting through here :)

Are my mails waiting in some kind of moderation list, or is this an
infra issue ? I am sending through gmail.

Kristian

Hi Kristian,

you have to subscribe to the list first. Just send a mail to
user-subscribe@commons.apache.org
