           Summary: Deprecate WeakishReference
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.7Alpha (nightly)
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P3
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jglick@netbeans.org

Should @deprecate WeakishReference and WeakishReference12 - since we depend on
Java 1.2 anyway as of Ant 1.6, there is no reason to use these classes (and
nothing in Ant apparently does - ComponentHelper uses WeakReference directly).

Could also delete ReferencesTest.java - doesn't really test anything interesting
anymore.

Cf. ant-dev thread "WeakishReference12 - what is it used for?".
