[Issue 127804] New: Calc crashes trying to open password-protected .ods file with non-english file name.

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127804

          Issue ID: 127804
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Calc crashes trying to open password-protected .ods
                    file with non-english file name.
           Product: Calc
           Version: 4.1.5
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 10
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P5 (lowest)
         Component: open-import
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: jteera5@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 86440
  --> https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=86440&action=edit
Password is abcdefg.

When I saved a password-protected .ods file with non-english file name, it
saved normally. But when I opened the file, Calc tried to show the password
message box and crashed before finished showing the text input box for the
password.

The file could be opened with *LibreOffice* Calc.

If I changed the file name to an English name, it could be opened with OO Calc
normally.

Some old password-protected .ods files with non-english file name that were
created long ago could be opened and saved in OO Calc repeatedly.

You're right. I had installed Thai Language Pack. The file could not be open
when I set the User Interface to Thai. It was ok with English UI.

I donloaded and installed the Thai Language Pack and still cannot confirm your
problem. The following are the steps that I took.

Downloaded and installed the Thai Language Pack
Set UI Language to Thai
Opened your test odas file

Results
The password box opened completely and allowed me to enter the password
Password accepted and file opened completely.

Conclusions
Given that I cannot replicate the problem I am going to set this as resolved
not reproducible for present. I would suggest a reset of the AOO user profile
as a method to eliminate the profile as a contributing factor. for instructions
see the following link:

Also ask on either our community forum at

problem before.
