WSDL and attachments

Hi,

Can anyone explain how WSDL is intended to support document centric
computing where the messages do not have parts but rather attachments.
There is mention of rpc vs document in the concrete binding extensions for
SOAP, and I did not quite understand it, but I don't think it is really
talking about the same thing. I am thinking more of ebXML style (soap with
attachements).

ANy thoughts?

Thanks,
