servlet

hi guys:

i run tomcat with apache, my webside docroot direct to webapps.
but servlet is not working.
but  when i direct docroot under the webapps, example :webapps/wwwroot. it
is working? why
i need the webside look like www.a.com, not www.a.com/wwwroot. how?
