[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-15206) Flakey testSplitDaughtersNotInMeta test

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-15206?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15129015#comment-15129015 ]

Jonathan Hsieh commented on HBASE-15206:

interesting. Some of the tests disable the catalog jantior and others do not. Would it make sense to do it in all?

Can you add a comment about the problem that can be triggered if not present? If i understand correctly "the catalog janitor must be disabled in this test because it could come and clean up the inconsistency that we are trying to repair."

> From the log, the ntp issue caused clock skew and it woke up CatalogJanitor earlier. The CatalogJanitor cleaned up the parent region. It could happen with master branch as well. The fix is to disable CatalogJanitor to make sure this will not happen.
