APT, XDoc - Table Cell Span

Hello,

is it possible via apt or xdoc, for a cell in one row to span multiple table
cells (in xdoc, `colspan="2" won't work)?

Or, if not, how can one define a cell width.

This has been added in current doxia trunk [1], it will be available in 
the next release beta-1 of doxia.
