GitHub Packages

Not sure if this is of help for netbeans community for artifacts in any
way, but I recently noted a noticed about github packages which links to
the following:

"GitHub Packages is a software package hosting service that allows you to
host your software packages privately or publicly and use packages as
dependencies in your projects. " [1]

Would this in any way be usable for netbeans?
