Resolution: Fixed
This required a KIP change (see [KIP-521|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KAFKA/KIP-521%3A+Enable+redirection+of+Connect%27s+log4j+messages+to+a+file+by+default]), so this was passed and merged into the 2.4.0 release.
