flat pdfs
has anybody tried serving non pipelined pdf files in forrest? i have a
bunch of publications in pdf format that i need to link to for download
but the cocoon sitemap.xmap maps all files ending in .pdf to a
pipeline. anybody found a good way to keep the pipeline and allow the
download of pdf's from a given directory?
am pondering changing the regex in sitemap.xmap ... but figure
someone's found a simpler solution.
thanks in advance.

Act without doing; Work without effort.
Think of the small as large and the few as many.
Confront the difficult while it is still easy;
accomplish the great task by a series of small acts.

That's the thing I learned to lust after as a programmer. It's not my
ability to solve one problem, to plow this field, but the ability to
build a plow that every farmer uses.

I'm not sure if I understand you right, but I guess you want to serve
PDFs directly, without going through the forrest PDF pipeline right?
If thats the case, then its easily done. Infact if you do forrest
seed, the layout has samples of how to do this.
I have the following layout (for publications, much like you)
src/documentation/content/
|-- projects
|-- publications
|-- resume
`-- xdocs
|-- articles
|-- personal
| `-- iitk
|-- projects
`-- research
I put all my flat PDFs inside the publications directory, and I can
refer to them as "publications/whatever.pdf" in any href. You
shouldn't need to make any changes to sitemap or anything else.
