[jira] [Comment Edited] (REEF-1509) Fix links to all slides in the "Talks" webpage

One question: what was the main reason that the links for our slides were lost?

OneDrive did this weird thing where they reset every shared link made up to a certain date. I assume they had a security issue with the way links were made before.

I'm not a fan of either OneDrive or SlideShare for hosting our content. Ideally, we should host the slides on our own, and use {{<embed>}}s from those platforms to make them more approachable. Maybe we could have one page per talk which contains:

  * The title, location and speaker of the talk
  * A link to download PPT and PDF formats from reef.apache.org
  * Embeds from either OneDrive or SlideShare to make the page more useful without having to download them
  * Embeds of a video recording of the talk on YouTube or otherwise.

That way, we control the search result and have a stable URL to point to when people ask for talks. Maybe a structure like {{https://reef.apache.org/talks/2015/hadoop-summit/}} would work?
