I would also add that robust and comprehensive bundle dependency management is critical for avoiding bundle dependency hell. Linux struggled with the same problem prior to the yum/apt package managers. Java struggled with the same thing prior to Maven. Once OSGI figures this out it will be a truly awesome platform.
