[axis2] VOTE: Trebor Iksrazal for committer

I'd like to nominate Trebor for committer status in Axis2- he has been
contributing to Axis2 for a while and has now taken on grander and more
glorious tasks on too ;-).

Here's my vote: +1.

AFAIK I still haven't got it. I sent the fax several weeks ago. If someone
could follow up for me I'd appreciate it.

Now would be a good time to get it, as I have some free time now to do axis2
work. I filed a jira to patch the modules section in migration guide, and I
plan on finishing the data binding section of the migration guide today. From
there I have some more plans ;-) .

yep. we just need to associate the email id to the name *on* the
official papers that you fax. that's it. see
http://www.apache.org/licenses/ and scroll down for the iCLA and cCLA.

iksrazal is just fine please. All I said is that on the form you should
put your legal name and that that will mean your real name for your
@apache.org address will be your real name. You can still have
iksrazal@apache.org (I'm sure its not taken!).

Sorry for the confusion - it is an unusual case as it was unexpected for me to
have the privilege.

Accordingly, my new email is robertlazarski@gmail.com , and that email will be
used for all of my future correspondence to this list. No problem for me! I
think it's better for everyone - more time for coding I think!

Hi Robert;

I believe as far as the mailing list is concerned it is ok to use the
Alias, But I think you should use real name in the paperwork ( e.g.
CLA) you need to do and for future paper work. May be Dims wants to
say more on this

As you might already know we name some one as a commiter based on two
things, first his contribution to the code and second his value as a
contributor, team member, and part of a community to the project and
to the ASF.

Your nomination and the votes suggest they acknowledge your
contribution and belief you will be great addition to the team.
Congratulation and Welcome abroad!!

Please feel free to dig in to the project and fix things, If it is
significant change it is best to discuss in the mailing list, but if
nobody respond .. go ahead. I am saying this sometime I feel our new
commiters left out of action because they felt it is not proper to
jump in (I too have felt same .. in number of projects, when I first
jump in). But thing is here there are no managers and if you like
to do something you should grab it and do it, Just mention it in the
list so other knows.

All the best
Thanks
Srinath

There's no problem .. :). However, for the legal paperwork (ICLA) please
use your real name. Then that same name will have to be there in the
account creation request ... so that means in your apache.org info
you'll have your old (boring) name. I imagine chfn will let you change
it.

Its a bit of an unusual case.. :). If u want I'll ask and see whether u
can file the legal paper under the assumed name but my gut instinct is
that folks will say no.

Welcome aboard! Please let me know when you've filed the CCLA) if

OK, full disclosure:

Trebor Iksrazal is my internet alias I've been using for almost 10 years. It
is, as dims has pointed out, simply 'Robert Lazarski' backwards.

I do this for primarily three reasons:

1) Its a joke since my teenager years.
2) Some anonymity on the internet. (Since I now have a site and business, this
is less so) .
3) Its much easier to search for 'iksrazal' on google, primarily for past
emails and code I've posted.

Rest assured, I'm a real person. I'm an American expatriot living in Brazil,
moving here in 2001. I'm married to a Brazilian and have full citizenship.
I've been using Linux since 1996 and Java since 1999. I started programming
in C/C++ - and still do occasionaly.

If no one minds I still would like to post as iksrazal for the reasons
mentioned above.

BTW - I was very suprised to be nominated for committer. Great group of people
here and I'm convinced we're all making the best web services stack in the
world.

PS - Sanjiva, thanks for the nomination. It was a suprise and I would have
mentioned the alias had I known. I post the link to my site so its not like I
was attempting to hide anything really. I'm not sure how the alias iksrazal
effects the waiver I need to send to apache. Let me know what the best course
of action to take is.

Cheers,

are those the only two you go by? ;-))
