[Bug 5604] New: sa-update version number looks old

http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5604

           Summary: sa-update version number looks old
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.2.3
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: trivial
          Priority: P5
         Component: sa-update
        AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jidanni@jidanni.org

I just want to mention that when we see var/spamassassin/3.002003/,
we swear that we must be using the older spamassassin package that root installed,
not the fresh 3.23 that we downloaded. Same when we see that number when using
sa-update -D.

Oh, I see, its the embedded zeros confusion again.
Scared me for a moment that it was the older version here
$ spamassassin -V
SpamAssassin version 3.0.3
$ bin/spamassassin -V
SpamAssassin version 3.2.3

OK, closing.

I don't understand what your issue is here. You're running 3.2.3 apparently
(there is no 3.23), and the updates are for 3.2.3 (3.2.3 == 3.002003).

What's the problem?
