[jira] Created: (ROL-1721) Adding a new subscription in Planet does not use the configured proxy

Adding a new subscription in Planet does not use the configured proxy
---------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: ROL-1721
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/roller/browse/ROL-1721
             Project: Roller
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Planet Aggregator
    Affects Versions: 4.0
         Environment: Solaris 10 x86, Glassfish v2ur2
            Reporter: Ceri Davies
            Assignee: Roller Unassigned

We need to access the Internet via a proxy server from the network that Roller sits on.

After installing a fresh roller, we configure the Planet aggregator in the Configuration tab as follows, then hit Save.

Proxy host for feed fetcher: wwwcache.cf.ac.uk
Proxy port for feed fetcher: 8080

On the Subscriptions tab, we enter any URL at all, then hit Save. Roller attempts to go to that URL direct rather than using the configured proxy server.

So basically, we can't add any subscriptions.

Ceri Davies commented on ROL-1721:

Actually, it seems that an undeploy/deploy of Roller gets the proxy to be used.
