[jira] Created: (JCR-343) Jcr-server: Report#init limits the Report interface to DeltaV compliant resources

Jcr-server: Report#init limits the Report interface to DeltaV compliant resources
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: JCR-343
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-343
     Project: Jackrabbit
        Type: Improvement
    Reporter: angela
 Assigned to: angela
     Fix For: 1.0

Although the REPORT features is defined by RFC 3253 and required for DeltaV compliant resources it is not limited to deltaV. See RFC 3744 (WebDAV Access Control Protocol) for additional usage of the REPORT functionality.

In order to keep the Report interface open for later usage by resources providing support for RFC 3744,
the init method signature could be modified as follows:

Report#init(DavResource, ReportInfo) instead of
Report#init(DeltaVResource, ReportInfo)
