[jira] [Created] (RAVE-444) Add LDAP authentication

Add LDAP authentication
-----------------------

                 Key: RAVE-444
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RAVE-444
             Project: Rave
          Issue Type: Story
            Reporter: Jasha Joachimsthal
            Assignee: Jasha Joachimsthal
             Fix For: 0.8-INCUBATING

Spring security supports LDAP authentication. We can add an embedded Apache Directory Service to demonstrate how users from an LDAP can login into Rave and use the demo portal. Users will be added into the database on the fly. Additional configuration and documentation is needed to connect through an external LDAP server.

Jasha Joachimsthal resolved RAVE-444.
-------------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Added documentation to the site http://incubator.apache.org/rave/documentation/ldap-authentication.html

Active Directory configuration has not been confirmed yet, that why that part of the documentation is commented out.
