Server Shutdown

Hi there,

Could anyone advise me on the best way to shutdown the server? Up until
now, in windows I've been using Ctrl-C but several reinstalls of the
server later it has dawned on me that this might not be the right way of
doing things. So I checked and found the shutdown command, so I was
wondering, if using Ctrl-C is bad, could this be made obvious somewhere
in the windows readme? I assumed that as there were no errors or
messages that Ctrl-C worked fine, but perhaps not.

thanks -mike

Ctrl-c is definitely bad. The proper way to shutdown the server is to use
dbxmladmin shutdown. On Unix we're able to hook ctrl-c so that it just
runs a proper shutdown. On windows we don't have that luxury.
