[jira] [Created] (CONNECTORS-960) DocumentSpecification, OutputSpecification, etc. should never appear in connector interfaces

Karl Wright created CONNECTORS-960:
--------------------------------------

Summary: DocumentSpecification, OutputSpecification, etc. should never appear in connector interfaces
                 Key: CONNECTORS-960
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS-960
             Project: ManifoldCF
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: Framework core
    Affects Versions: ManifoldCF 1.7
            Reporter: Karl Wright
            Assignee: Karl Wright
             Fix For: ManifoldCF 1.7

Having multiple varieties of Specification does us no good and makes things unnecessarily complicated. With a minor change to the abstract base class, we can make at least the interfaces not mention the kind of Specification explicitly. Eventually we'll be able to deprecate the older classes too.
