[jira] [Commented] (OAK-1240) RTC: move classes in org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.util to org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.commons

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-1240?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13835311#comment-13835311 ]

Michael Dürig commented on OAK-1240:
------------------------------------

oajo.commons contains classes that are shared across all modules (which happens to be only {{PathUtils}}). oajo.util is specific to the respective module. Maybe we can get rid of oak-commons all together once we have a resolution for OAK-1179!?

> oajo.commons and oajo.utils seem to server the same purpose.
> if so, we should move the utils to commons (or vice versa).
> if not we should justify and document the existence of those.
