[jira] [Updated] (MESOS-115) Include slave hostname in SlaveID

Bernd Mathiske updated MESOS-115:
---------------------------------
    Assignee: (was: Bernd Mathiske)

> Include slave hostname in SlaveID
> ---------------------------------
>
> Key: MESOS-115
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-115
> Project: Mesos
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: master
> Reporter: Bill Farner
> Priority: Minor
>
> There are some API calls that pass both SlaveID and hostname, and others that provide only SlaveID. This can make log forensics difficult from the framework perspective. It would be much nicer to compose the hostname directly in the SlaveID proto.
