I just tried this with the 8/5/2012 edge version in the 5.1 simulator and it worked fine. It took awhile but there was no crash and all of the contacts were updated. I used the test case above and a version of this code to add the contacts to the address book: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8116214/adding-vcard-data-directly-to-the-system-address-book
