[jira] [Created] (NIFI-1144) Create a "Config History" context menu
entry
Andrew Grande created NIFI-1144:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Create a "Config History" context menu entry
Key: NIFI-1144
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-1144
Project: Apache NiFi
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Core UI
Affects Versions: 0.3.0
Reporter: Andrew Grande
Priority: Trivial
While working with the REST API, I found that quickly accessing the configuration history for a specific processor can come very handy.
*Proposal*: right-click context menu for the processor should add a 'Config history' item which opens up a Flow History screen with the ID pre-populated in a filter.
*Benefits*: quickly review configuration history for a specific component in question. Flow History, by default, lists all events for every component, additional multiple steps required on the users behalf to filter.
*Notes*: [~mcgilman] mentioned the history was already exposed for each individual property, but it's not exactly the same for the following reasons:
# a user doesn't know which property to hover over in the Properties screen to see if there were any changes before
# this flow doesn't display the Start and Stop events. The top-level Flow History screen does capture and show those.
